Souvenir: Memory made solid

This morning I came across an article on an artist who has replaced the advertising copy in vintage, mad Men era, print ads with quotes from the current resident of a big white house in Washington D.C.

The usual vitriol spilled, but I wonder how this constant erosion is effecting women who already have been dealing with a lifetime of disregard.

Back in the 2000's a colleague of mine was being stalked by a campus security guard. Back in the late 90's one of my mentors was beaten and assaulted walking home from class. Back in the early 80's I met a young woman throwing rocks at a frat house where her roommate had been roofied the night before.

Before that...same old same old.
